Our Approach to Childcare

Discover our nurturing approach, tailored to support each child's unique journey.

Cozy Care for Every Child

A group of preschool kids are indoors in their classroom with their teacher. They are sitting on the floor and playing.

At Little Oaks Nursery, every child is truly known and valued. With low staff-to-child ratios and a close-knit, homely environment, we offer personalised care that allows each child to grow confidently at their own pace. Our team ensures every child receives the attention they deserve, fostering independence and a strong sense of self.

We believe that children learn best when they feel empowered to do things for themselves. At Little Oaks, we support independence through daily routines — from dressing practice to water play and self-care activities — helping children develop vital life skills, resilience, and confidence, one small step at a time.

Encouraging personal Development

Encouraging Personal Development

We're dedicated to supporting children as they grow into kind, confident and resilient individuals.

Choices that Make Kids Proud
At Little Oaks Nursery, we give children small but meaningful choices throughout the day from what they eat to how they play. These moments help build confidence, independence, and a strong sense of self naturally and joyfully.

Three Cheers for Good Choices!
Positive reinforcement is a key part of our day.
Through our celebration system including roles like Kind Friend, Helper, and Listener of the Day we recognise and reward kind, thoughtful behaviour in ways children love and understand.

Kind Words, Kind Hearts
We support children in learning how to navigate little disagreements with empathy and fairness. Using practical tools like sand timers, and always modelling kindness and respect, we help children develop vital social and emotional skills that last a lifetime.

Learning and Development Strategy

We make learning enjoyable and inspiring, ensuring each child finds something they love to discover.
